0Alphen, resolved to venture to Lenegis, faces the hurdle of finding a suitable ship for the journey. It is Rinwell who astutely points out that Alphen must have used a ship to escape from Lenegis three centuries ago. Delving into his memories, Alphen recalls a potential landing site, and the party embarks on a quest to locate it. Navigating through treacherous fire caves, they ultimately discover the very ship Alphen utilized in his escape.
Dohalim, with his technical prowess, takes charge of reviving the dormant vessel, providing the party with a well-deserved respite. However, amidst their preparations, a shadow of concern looms over the group as Shionne begins to exhibit a noticeable distance. Alphen and Rinwell, in particular, find themselves gripped by worry for her well-being.
The tension reaches its zenith one night when Shionne attempts to commandeer the ship solo to reach Lenegis. Alphen, intercepting her, is met with the chilling sight of her raised gun, a desperate ultimatum hanging in the air. In a charged moment, Shionne, grappling with conflicting emotions, collapses, unable to follow through on her threat.
In the vulnerable aftermath, Shionne bares her soul, unveiling a lifetime haunted by thorns that portend destruction. Her revelation unravels a tragic truth β she had long contemplated freeing herself through the power of Renas Alma, even at the cost of her own life. The party, however, vehemently rejects this sacrifice. Alphen, pledging to explore alternative solutions, refuses to accept Shionne's death as an inevitable outcome.
The stage is set for a journey where bonds are tested, and the pursuit of a solution becomes paramount. As the party strives to rewrite the destiny entwined with Shionne's thorns, the echoes of resilience resonate in the face of an impending tragedy.
Tales of Arise is an Original Title in the Tales series. It was announced on June 9, 2019, during Microsoft's E3 2019 presentation. The game was initially announced with a release window set for 2020, but on June 25, 2020, it was announced that Tales of Arise would be released after 2020, but no specific date was provided.On April 21, 2021, it was announced that the game would be released on September 10, 2021. It is a first Original Title to have a simultaneous release across the world. Its characteristic genre translates to the "Telling the Dawn of the Heart RPG"
