I did this while I was just messing around with another theory. This is unlikely to work on console or non-TAS. Still though, it shows that at the very least ADF is possible.

I have more theories on this part, something is bound to work.

I collected this once a long time ago red-only. I was pushing it against the slope of the edge of water and land, then it fell out of bounds. When it fell inbounds, it was on land and collectible. I have done the same thing many many times since then, and the best I have gotten was the part respawns where it fell OOB, however most of the time it fell out of bounds it would reappear above ground way back in the water. Never on land.

I promise I will get this legitimately soon, whether I have to use the beetle or not. I want to do a full red only playthrough one day, I will probably stream this on my twitch channel:
