Thanks to a new discovery and some time off work for a few days, I was able to collect the guard satellite without destroying the gate!

The new trick is to bump against the wollywog to cause it to once again re-engage its attack, allowing you to now move a wollywog anywhere. This was discovered by a very clever hacker friend of mine, Minty Meeo: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDs56_PWGNzDw96YRe6UQlw

Similar to other red only videos, when a part is unstable (crooked, sitting on a slope, partially in the ground, or inside a gate) it will do something I call waypoint reset, where the next day it teleports to stable ground. This is usually one of the waypoints. If the GS is over to the left side of the gate, it goes to where the puffstool is. If the GS is inside the gate in the centre or right side, and pushed as far through as I could therefore unstable, it appears at the waypoint by the shearwigs.

Please excuse poor audio quality, this gameplay was recorded on an emulator as I do not have access to my gamecube while I am at work. This is also why I have been heavily inactive, and will remain inactive for a few more months. I will be back, one day...

I should like to note that the new wollywog transportation is useful in many other ways. This could help with increasing ease of collection of interstellar radio and anti-dioxin filter red only.
