TASBot takes doping viruses a bit too far in Dr. Mario at ESA (European Speedrunner Assembly)
TASBot hit his stride on his first trip to Europe by playing Dr. Mario from CtrlAltDestroy while attempting to surprise commentator Wicky, eventually succeeding after a few false starts while trying to use an automated timer script. No testing like testing live as they say. :)
This TAS shows an older run of the game that has since been obsoleted but it was chosen for its length and for the amusement factor. The result speaks for itself. The poor viruses were doped so badly they had no idea what hit them and apparently decided to pack it in.
My spoken statement about this being ACE isn't entirely correct - Arbitrary Code Execution implies full control over what code is executed, while notes in newer runs (such as the comments in http://tasvideos.org/6272S.html and its predecessor) refer to the method as the remove glitch. After reviewing the notes and better understanding the method involved I agree that this is not truly ACE despite my comments to the contrary. It's no less interesting, however. :)
(Note: this was shown at European Speedrunner Assembly where not everyone had English as a first language so be kind in the comments about strong accents. Thanks.)
