This is Tekken 6 for PSP run with 4x texture up-scaling, and 5x graphic up-scaling, which is 2400x1360, on PPSSPP, the Sony PSP emulator, on my PC. I played it on medium difficulty so I could move around more freely, which allowed for more background detail to be seen. This is not a Tekken 6 skill demo, it's more of a technical video showing just how incredible Tekken 6 for PSP looks on an emulator. The original resolution of the PSP is 480x272, and depending on the PSP model, the PSP 3000 for example, it can be interlaced, which made some games look very grainy. Despite that, Tekken 6 was one of the best looking PSP games ever made. I compared Tekken 6 on PSP rendered at 1080p HD to the PS3 version which actually looks blurry up-scaled to 1080p. The reason for this is because despite the Tekken 6 PS3 box claiming that it's 720p, Euro-Gamer revealed it's actually sub 720p at 1024x576, with no anti-aliasing when motion blur is on, making it look even more soft, jagged and blurry when the PS3 stretches it to 1080p.

Despite the PS3's better character models and lighting, the super sharp look of the PSP version running on PC is incredible to see. What's more impressive though, is that Namco managed to fit all of the stages, player combos, CG cut-scenes, and characters into the PSP version. Most of the animations and many of the intricate background details made the transition as well. It's also the only way to play Tekken 6 on PC.

Since Tekken 7 is officially coming to PC, the only way to catch up on all of the previous Tekken games on PC, with the exception of Tekken Tag 2, is emulation. All of the games are playable via an X-Box 360 controller. I legally own, and have backed up all of the Tekken games, save for Tekken Tag 2, to my PC. Please do not ask me where to find them.
