Tesla 2018.44.2 - Cold Weather Improvements: Windows & Charge Port
18Tesla's newest software version is 2018.44.2. It has two new improvements for cold weather driving:
1) Charge Port: In the past you needed to unlock to be able to pull your charge cable out. Now it just comes out. This was due to the reports of it being locked in with ice. I am personally not a huge fan of this change since I always charge in my garage. There is no settings to adjust this.
2) Windows: The window now will not go up all the way in cold weather. So when your door gets stuck with ice and you manage to pull it open, the glass will not scratch the top.This also makes it less sealed which I think will release cabin heat making the car need to produce more to heat up, reducing your range. Does my logic make sense?
