Tesla Blue & Red Snowflake Icon Information
There are more and more Model 3’s on the road everyday. I see more questions in regards to the Snowflake icon. You will see this icon in your car as well as your phone app. There are two snowflake icon colors; blue and red.
The Blue Snowflake will indicates that the battery is very cold and that the estimated range lost may be inaccurate. This is because of the cold temperature. The snowflake is also pretty strong indicator that your regen is limited. Acceleration is limited. And range is reduced.
Something also important to note, the Model S and Model 3 have a different threshold and/or tolerance for cold. I have seen owners of both vehicles say they see the snowflake on one car but not the other.
The Red Snowflake means he battery pack is heating.
