EDGE64 is perhaps one of the most unique Doom 64-based mods out there! chutzcraft uses the Enhanced Doom Gaming Engine (EDGE) as a base to create brand-new maps with Doom 64 assets and other additions. It is very cool to see Doom 64 with truly 3D bridges and dynamic lighting. So far the new levels and additions to the gameplay have been good! I like hearing the Quake 2 N64 soundtrack as well, which was made by the same musician for Doom 64 (Aubrey Hodges) so it fits in well. There was a planned sequel to Doom 64 called "Doom Absolution". It was supposed to have multiplayer support, but if it had single player levels I could see it being like EDG64. That is with truer 3D floors, more weapons, and a sci-fi theme which was popular for the era. Since this is based on EDGE, this mod has a chance of being ported to the Dreamcast as well. Thus we can play more Doom 64 again, the way it was meant to be played, with a single analog stick on the Dreamcast!
