The Chronicles of Thamnos, an ancient encyclopedia, holds within its pages all the tales of this realm. The music project known as THAMNOS is a sonic representation of these chronicles, a legacy of the god's world. Each album tells a unique, often poignant story that once played out in Thamnos's domain, displaying the raw emotions that churned within the hearts of its characters. The narrator of these stories was once the chronicler responsible for preserving them for eternity. Now, he has decided it is time to bring these long-lost and unknown tales to the attention of the new, modern world. The music of THAMNOS is metal, for it is the perfect vessel to contain the emotional depth of these stories. The sound of THAMNOS can be described as atmospheric, emotional, ambient, and sorrowful. Inspired by genres such as melodic death metal, melodic doom metal, melodic black metal, blackgaze, post-rock, celtic metal, epic metal, symphonic metal, neofolk, ambient, and cinematic music, THAMNOS takes inspiration from bands such as Insomnium, Katatonia, Wintersun, Eluveitie, Swallow The Sun, Amorphis, Sleep Token, and VOLA.
