The year is 1998. A fledgling Mario Kart 64 master is playing Royal Raceway, 3lap, shortcut, trying to set a new world record. He gets one particular run, where something very strange happens... an anomaly so bizarre, inexplicable, and curious, that it remains unexplained and unreplicated to this very day. This is the strange story of Greg I's zero second Mario Kart timer glitch.

In this video, we also examine the implications that zero-second records might have on speedrunning as a whole, analyze the speedruns of other games that have approached zero seconds, and discuss the theoretical "end point" of speedrunning, when speedrunners have achieved records of zero seconds in all games. Speedrun analysis, discussion and comments are always welcome!
