Our playthrough of The Addams Family for the TG CD, made by ICOM in 1992. This follows the general plot of the movie but is done from the perspective of Tully, the lawyer. In an interesting twist you get to invade the house, defeat all of the Addams Family and make off with their treasure! Instead of having FMV, this game only has CD audio over a still from the movie.

A few interesting things were unfortunately left out of this run. There are some optional rooms/boss fights you can visit like Pugsley (who also turns you into a wolfman!) and Wednesday, as well as the attic where you can get an extra audio scene.

Most fights in this game are done with Tully's umbrella, but a couple require the use of the sword which must be found within the house. I make a mention of a save state early in the run in regard to the final fight with Gomez, but I'm still not sure if it is poor hit detection with him or my own mistake. Crouch-stabbing seems to be a much more effective strategy against him.

All in all it's an interesting game simply for the fact that you take the role of the antagonist and how a movie game was done up with such an arcade-style gameplay. It reminded me a bit of Ghostbusters for the Genesis that way, released a couple of years earlier.

Audio muted during the end credits because it plays the full version of the Addams Family theme music from the TV show, which is copyrighted.
