An all-ages platform game with a picture book or fairy tale vibe, taking control of either sibling as they journey towards a party. Very much default GameMaker code hours, but charming and pleasant enough for what it is.
The game has some unexpected hiccups that can effectively softlock the game. Moving platforms are surprisingly perilous and refuse to budge, and are prone to wedging you against a wall with no means of getting out -- the readme claims F1 will reset the current screen, but it never worked for me. It's also shockingly easy to get stuck on the cloud castle's platforms, Rose's feet wedged under the platform and unable to shift.
A couple of screens are also very particular (if not outright vague) about how you proceed: falling off-screen on the city rooftops will kill you except in the very specific unmarked location it wants you to fall. I've also sincerely no idea how to start the table-setting game, even after checking the code, and just mashed keys 'til it worked...!
The end of the video shows some horsing around with the "secretmode" options -- PageUp and PageDown will skip through levels, and Home will take you to a level select. There appear to be a couple of unused screens, including a cutscene I can't seem to trigger for the start of the game; a cave you should probably be able to access via the pipes in the forest; and seemingly a scrapped alternate route after walking the plank. The final room in the level list cannot be accessed by level skipping, and is an underwater stage that seems to have barely been started.
