In Mega Man for the NES, there's a fairly simple zip you can perform to quickly skip a solid chunk of the Bomb Man stage, and like obviously it involves using the Magnet Beam just like all the other Mega Man zips.

First get to the room with the spikes on the floor and a ladder leading up on the left side. It's a room with the crazy Bullet Bill shark guys. You know the one. You enter this room from below and there are three platforms toward the top of the ladder you enter from.

Climb most of the way up the ladder on the left - this ladder normally leads you out of the room and onward toward the rest of Bomb Man's level. You want to position yourself on this ladder in such a way that when you create a Magnet Beam platform to the right, the top of the platform aligns perfectly adjacent to the bottom of your score. When you're lined up just right, fire a long Magnet Beam platform to the right.

Then hop on this platform and shoot another long Magnet Beam platform to the right. Jump up onto that platform and hold Up and Right so that you will grab a ladder while running to the right. Mega Man will grab onto the ladder leading to the screen below, but he will move upward into the screen above. If you've done these steps correctly, you will now see Mega Man casually climbing into some spikes in the room above, but he will be totally alive and stuff.

For here, create a long Magnet Beam platform to the right, and a short one to the left, then press Select to pause. When you unpause, Mega Man will begin zipping to the right. If you just let the zip happen naturally, Mega Man will fall to his death.

But if you press Right on the D-Pad during the zip, Mega Man will stop and face right. The goal here is to stop Mega Man as he becomes aligned with the boss doors at the end of this area. So, tap right to stop, and if you're not aligned properly, tap left again to re-enter the zip. Then try again when you get closer to the door.

If you stopped at the right spot, the boss doors will open, and Mega Man will begin to fall. It's best to hug the wall on your right as you fall, but not necessary. Just don't go back to the left or Mega Man will explode.

Anyway, then you'll fall right into the boss room with Bomb Man and you've skipped a solid chunk of his level!
