Zip to skip Marble Zone Act 2 in Sonic The Hedgehog (Sega) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts30
1,860In Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis, there's a simple-yet-precise glitch you can execute to skip through Marble Zone Act 2. This zip involves underflowing Sonic's horizontal position on the level, which results in him being placed at the very end of the stage. Some people call this a level wrap.
All you need to do is stand on the leftmost pixel of the first moving platform you encounter in the level. The platform moves up and down and it's basically right at the starting point of the level.
Once Sonic is teetering on the last possible pixel on the leftmost edge of the platform, you'll need to wait for this platform to lower Sonic to the exact right height. It's hard to describe exactly where you need to be when you execute this glitch, so use the video for reference.
When Sonic's grounded foot is just above the bottom edge of that middle marble brick, tap Right on the directional pad, then immediately press jump (one frame after tapping right). If you've done everything just right, Sonic will begin to zip to the rightmost section of the level. Once the zip starts, you can let go of your controller until the camera catches up with you.
