Out of the blue, I know. I'll still be playing Deus Ex, but I will be taking a break from PlayStation 1 demo discs in favor of playing through Final Fantasy 8 through September. Hopefully this won't cut into horror games too much for October.

Anyway, I feel like FF8, while not particularly the best Final Fantasy game, still has merits. It's both the most divisive Final Fantasy game as well as, perhaps, one of the more underrated games in the series (not to say it's a great game, or even necessarily a good game, but I don't think it's a bad game. It gets more hate than it deserves.)

I'm no master at this game, I haven't played it in about 15 years, and I've never even messed with Triple Triad too much. But, let's do what we can, and take our time to really learn and experiment with one of the slowest Final Fantasy entries in the series.
