SparkyLinux is a fully featured operating system based on Debian and Linux kernels, adapted for use on low-end hardware. Installation images include the ability to run the Live system and familiarize yourself with the operating system without having to install and modify your computer's partition table.
The operating system is easy to install, supports most wireless and mobile network cards and has its own repository with a large selection of additional applications.
SparkyLinux supports about 20 desktops and window managers, giving power users the freedom to customize the operating system.
The LXQt and Xfce desktop versions have lightweight graphical environments, work stably out of the box, and include a set of essential software for home users.
Sparky MinimalGUI with Openbox window manager comes with basic software only and is intended for advanced users who want to customize the system on their own.
Sparky MinimalCLI (no X server) is a distribution for advanced users who want to completely create and customize their system variants.
Also, special unstable versions are released based on the Debian test branch, which are intended for advanced users who wish to use the latest updates and features:
