I've been playing a lot of Zelda recently. I've just, for the first time, gotten to the Adult Link section of Ocarina of Time, and have also purchased Majora's Mask 3D. I've started to truly admire the Zelda series for the epic adventure it is, and how well produced the games are. I just needed to give them a proper shot. Prior to when I bought Majora's Mask 3D, I always struggled to get into the games, but I've learned that if you just keep pushing through the game, it gets insanely good. That said, the music is always good.

I would have done any of the songs from Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask, but I never took the time to listen to The Dark World theme from A Link to the Past. I've seen many people do covers of them, and I knew what it sounded like, but I've not properly listened to it. However, due to the 8BitMusicTheory video about Zelda Overworld themes, this theme is easily one of my favorites. It is truly one of the greatest themes Koji Kondo has ever made.

This was an interesting cover for me to record. I actually redid all of my tones and made a few changes to my drums, simply for the fact that I didn't record this the way I normally do. I instead used the dry inputs from my guitars and used the POD Farm VST plugin to make the tones. Not only does this mean I have DIs of my recordings, but it also means I can make changes to my tones if I absolutely need to. The bass was tough to nail. I consulted a few guides to metal bass tones, and managed to create something even better than what I used before. This is easily one of my greatest covers. I hope you enjoy it! :)
