Woo, this was a fun cover! But, also, holy crap, I'm far ahead in covers! I'm typing this on the 17th of July, and the video is going up on the 2nd of August. So I've definitely not been dry on covers. I said that I would like to try more medleys, and here we are, a medley for games from a console I have profound respect and a soft spot for. As little as I've played it, I love the original NES a lot. For what it did, for the games it has, and for the music it has in said games. This is a compilation of some of my favorites.
So, Super Mario Brothers, The Legend of Zelda, Punch-Out, Castlevania, Tetris NES and Megaman II. Why these songs? Well, I like all of these songs a lot, and each was very fun to play. Super Mario Brothers is just iconic, so I couldn't not include it. The Zelda theme is really fun. I really like the fight theme from Punch-Out quite a lot. Vampire Killer from Castlevania is easily one of my favorite songs on this list. Tetris is just a lot of fun in general, and Megaman II is one of my favorite songs in general.
I am very aware that the NES version of Tetris came out in 1988. In fact, the version of Tetris I specifically noted in the video was the one that came out in 1984, long before the US release of the NES. The initial release of the first version was in 1984, and that's what I was basing it on. Regardless, I hope you enjoy the medley! :)
