I love this song so much. I knew that Crypt of the Necrodancer's soundtrack was awesome, I didn't know it was this awesome! I never fully gave the soundtrack a chance until I chose to cover this. I own the game, I just never played it for long enough to properly listen to the soundtrack. Doing covers of music, I've noticed, gives me a serious appreciation for the songs I end up doing. I commented on that when I did Rainbow Road from Mario Kart DS, but it really shows better with this song.
I do know that FamilyJules did a cover of this, and I actually didn't even use his cover as inspiration other than for the intro, and even then, I was going to use drop A 7-string on this song regardless. It needed the drop A instead of me doing it on the C-6. I'm very happy with how this turned out.
I think this may be my best playing. As simple as some of the leads are, they're not easy to play. I got to do some fun tapping stuff and sixteenth note arpeggios in it. It was so much fun. I did also make a few changed to my Bass sound, since I've been looking to get a Nolly Getgood tone for it. Of course, getting Helix later this year will give me the ability to make a Nolly tone. Either way, I hope you enjoy the cover! :)
