The Oblivion Gates are opening, and pouring forth are the Devilish Daedra of Mehrunes Dagon. Destroy the Daedra, and save the continent of Tamriel, as well as all of Mundus!
One of my favorite games ever made.

I restocked and sold all my goods in Chorrol, and then set off for the Arcane University.
The Arcane University has a large courtyard, closed in by walls on all sides. Some mushrooms for alchemy about. I asked a guard and he had nothing but praises for the place, and the Arcane University main building looked to be in good condition. I was quite skeptical. Maybe because it was in my nature to question something? Or maybe my natural skepticism is brought on by past experiences? I don't know.
The inside of the first floor of the main building is a small circular room, with maybe three or four people I didn't know. Some benches, some alchemy ingredients. Nothing too special other than the portal for teleportation at the side of the room.
I entered the main building and asked for the Raminus Polus that I was supposed to see. Raminus, as some might have guessed from his name, was an Imperial, and since he was in the Arcane University he was also, you guessed it, a Magic user. A sorcerer to be precise.
Raminus congratulated me on my elevation to the Arcane University, and told me that every Mage needs a Staff. I instead prompted a promotion, and I was quickly turned down. He sent me on a quest to get wood for my Staff at their grove in Wellspring Cave by speaking with either Eletta or Zahrasha.
While making my way to Wellspring Cave I made sure to note any impressive caves, ruins or structures along the way. Upon arriving at Wellspring Cave I smelled death in the air. Necromancers, Vampires or Undead afoot.
I entered the cave, prepared for the worst, and I got that. A Necromancer in the very entrance of the cave, next to the body of a Khajiit woman that could only be Zahrasha. Probably. Maybe. I was uncertain and still am. I struck the Necromancer down, and then searched Zahrasha's body. She had a key on her, likely a way to access something later on in Wellspring Cave.
After killing numerous Necromancers and thoroughly exploring the Cave to what I assumed was the full extent, I made my way to a door at the farthest end of the cave away from the entrance. The key from Possibly Zahrasha worked and the door opened forth, revealing three Necromancers and a dead body, Possibly Eletta. Probably Eletta.
One of the three Necromancers approached me, Noveni Othran (probably), and told me about how she would kill me and use my body as a puppet. Alright, disturbing, yes, but they all died, so it's fine.
At the nearby Altar with glowing purple flames I found an incomplete Mages Staff. Very convenient. I must return to Raminus Polus and report that Wellspring Cave has been decimated.
I dove into Lake Rumare, and swam as rapidly across as I could, climbed up onto the bridge in between the Arcane University and the Imperial City, and entered the Arcane University.
Raminus wasn't happy with Wellspring Cave being wiped out, and Necromancers doing it. He sent me to Delmar, the Enchanter for the University, to enchant my staff. I picked my staff's enchantment only after hearing all of the possible outcomes presented to me. Telekinesis seemed like the best option. Then he told me to wait for a full day.
So I did, standing right there, not at all moving.
I finally had my staff, and reported back to Raminus Polus.
