I already have a Skyrim video on my channel, but this time I wanted to showcase the Special Edition.
This version of Skyrim boasts improved graphics and some bug fixes.
Unfortunately, it has some audio problems on Linux compared to the regular version, but they can be solved following the instructions in the Tweaks section below.
This is also the first video where I use the MangoHUD overlay instead of the plain old Steam FPS indicator.
MangoHUD is a great tool that allows you to see all the necessary info (FPS, CPU load, GPU load etc) in real time. You can get it here: https://github.com/flightlessmango/MangoHud.

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/489830/The_Elder_Scrolls_V_Skyrim_Special_Edition/

My specs are:

Distro: Ubuntu 19.10
Proton: 5.0-2
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K @ 3.70GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
GPU Driver: NVIDIA 440.59
RAM: 16 GB

Tweaks:

Set the xaudio2_7 library to "native then builtin" in winecfg. You can either winetricks or protontricks in order to do this.
Then add "PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=90" to the Steam launch command to fix the audio crackling.
