In "The End of Crunch," Queenship Game Studio's executive director and lead composer, Muse en Lystrala, will discuss the importance and impact of time management and compassionate management.

Crunch has played an enormously large role in the game development industry, and while some studios are rejecting this concept as a value, it is still a prevalent practice.

Centered around the phrase ""crunch is the direct result of poor planning,"" this talk will touch on the impact of crunch on employee wellness (physical, emotional, and mental) and happiness, as well as explore methods by which crunch can be eliminated from our practices in order to give us more time and energy to spend on the other things we love - our families, our hobbies, our rest, and ourselves. It will also touch on the impact of crunch on company success, and how crunch can ultimately lead to company or product failure.

Intended for game devs currently in managerial roles or those who aspire to them, this bold and assertive talk is intended to help attendees become more effective and compassionate managers - and how we can work to greater effect to create a game dev future in which crunch no longer exists.
