The fan-game that introduced me to the "Touhou" Series. [Kris VS Sakuya]
4I've heard bits and pieces of what this series is about, and at first... I honestly wasn't really interested in it. During my adolescence, I thought it was just a weird anime-esque game that constantly kept on showing up whenever I went on a binge-watching spree. But many years later, I eventually got my hands on a game called "UNDERTALE" and heard that said game was inspired by (of course) the "Touhou Series" of games. My curiosity by then slowly began to peak, but I never got the chance to play any Touhou Games through my own experiences... until I came across this little gem of sorts.
This fan-game alone is what got me curious, and this video marks the very first time I didn't play a game ahead of time before recording it. I went in knowing how UNDERTALE & Deltarune's mechanics work, but I didn't have any given knowledge on who I was fighting. In this playthrough, I was actually expecting the worst from this fight. But as I kept on dodging attacks & pulling off moves that were deemed to be IMPOSSIBLE for an crossover fan-game... I eventually realized that I've been missing out on pure gold!
At around 12:15 (presumably), I decided to experiment with a few things. And one of those things happened to make the game even MORE of a challenge compared to what the primary experience threw at me. I didn't see it coming, but I knew I wasn't exactly ready for it... so I decided to stick with the main event. I don't know if this was due to all the experience I've had playing both UNDERTALE & Deltarune, but to be completely honest... this fan-game sure did have a lot of fun things to offer. It showed me that Toby Fox did everyone a HUGE favor by giving us a well-polished battle system that was mainly inspired by Touhou alone-- it was just THAT addicting to play. [Now I wanna buy them on Steam. :P]
