The Financial Pressure of Game Development - The Context of an Artistic Expression
77I wanted to make something different this time by focusing on the game makers instead of the games themselves. I’ve been working in the industry for the last couple of years as a user researcher and I’ve had to chance to put a face on the people who make all of it happen, from indie developers with a dream to AAA veterans working on expensive games.
I thought it would be a good idea to open a window into their world, more precisely on the place money has in their artistic pursuit. It’s an old tale the one of money and art and I thought it would be interesting to look at it through the lenses of video games.
