The Heilwald Loophole - medical fun (teddyras)
3I played this when it came out and just kinda sat on the footage forever. This is not that footage, this is from a couple months ago when I did that thing in october where I played random horror games I had that got pulled from a list and voted on. This dev makes the strangest variety of stuff to the point where looking at their steam page you're like, I don't believe you. They made this like 1st person souls like in ancient greece that's pretty good, but nobody has played it aside from me and iron pineapple apparently. They also made like a devil daggers type game for some reason, and their latest game is like some parkour thing that people like (their best selling game by a lot). Feels like they're doing genre parkour lol.
But yeah, heilwald loophole was fun enough to play twice. Game plays simple enough: just find the exit essentially, and to do so you have to solve non-traditional puzzles. It doesnt do like the resident evil thing where you have to do an actual puzzle puzzle, but more like figure out what the people want in a section and how to get it and not get killed or drugged by a weirdo or a health professional. The game goes to some absurd places, gets a bit gross at times, and sort of plays around with some light time looping that's really more of a semi diegetic way to let you replay levels. It's not the scariest game, but it's definitely unsettling. I had fun at least, enjoyed it both times.
