The Importance of Boning in Corsets
Visual Description: A woman addresses the camera. She visually demonstrates the importance of boning in corsets with her outfit. She's dressed in a vaguely medieval-inspired outfit, with an oversized green peasant dress, a flower crown, and a corset with a woodland print on it. One side of the corset is shaped how it's supposed to be, standing upright, and the other side is crumpled and not holding its shape properly. There are bookshelves filled with a variety of books in the background.
Description: A piece of boning came out of this corset that I bought back in May. I decided to make the best of a bad sitaution, and make an educational video about the importance of boning in corsets. Boning helps the fabric to maintain its shape, and keeps it from crumpling up upon itself. This video provides an excellent visual example of what a corset with boning in the center front looks like, vs. what a corset without boning in the center front looks like.
