Today’s one minute game review is on Unsighted by Studio Pixel Punk.
Unsighted is a tale as old as time; humans have waged a war against the sentient robots called Automatons that they themselves created, you play as Alma, one of many Automatons trying to fight back and save her kind. You know… typical video game tom foolery.
On the surface, Unsighted is a top-down Zelda-like that focuses on puzzle solving, item collecting, and some really tight combat.
But what really sets it apart is that every Automaton in the game, including all NPCs and Alma, have a timer displaying how much energy they have left before they basically lose their minds and go “Unsighted.”
This forces the player to make some really difficult decisions and literally decide who gets to live and die. Also, if Alma’s runs out, it’s game over.
It’s this unique, stress inducing, mechanic combined with some really excellent core gameplay that, in my opinion, make Unsighted a must play.
