In The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, there's a secret hidden room dedicated to Chris Houlihan, who allegedly won a Nintendo Power magazine contest to have his name inserted into the popular Nintendo title.

The legend goes that in Summer of 1990, Nintendo Power held a contest to see who could capture a photo of the elusive WarMECH enemy in Final Fantasy. The winner of the contest would have his name "programmed into a future Nintendo game!" There is no way to confirm that this Chris Houlihan room is actually connected to this contest in any way, but people on the Internet are pretty convinced.

The Chris Houlihan room is just a small room filled with blue rupees. There's a telepathy tile in the back of the room that when activated reads:

My name is Chris Houlihan.
This is my top secret room.
Keep it between us, OK?

The room seems to act as a fail safe for when the game can't properly determine Link's coordinates. In other words, when the game doesn't really know where to place Link, the game will dump him into the Chris Houlihan room. Exiting the room will place link outside of his house.

A reliable way to enter the room is as follows: In the light world, push open the gravestone on the north west corner of the cemetery, but do not fall into the hole. Then, turn around and place a bomb. The blast from the bomb should knock you into the hole in the grave, and you should be teleported to the Chris Houlihan room.
