The infamous Pause Trick in Mega Man (NES)
1,434During my live stream of Mega Man on NES I demonstrated how to do an infamous glitch called the Pause Trick.
In the original Mega Man, generally any time one of your projectiles overlaps an enemy's hurtbox, you can press SELECT to pause the game (without opening up your menu). If your weapon projectile still overlaps the enemy, you can unpause, then pause again quickly with the select button and the enemy will take damage again from that same projectile.
If your timing on the pause button is good enough, you can defeat entire bosses with just one shot. The best example is to use this trick against the Yellow Demon (Yellow Devil) using the Thunder Beam.
