Note: This video is not meant to be a "let's play" or anything of the sort. It is simply meant to be a showcasing of a certain glitch that breaks the game pretty badly, and so pretty much all of the cutscenes are sped through to hasten the exploration. That said, there are still spoilers all throughout, so if you have any intention of playing through this game at some point, it is not recommended to watch this video. It may be a glitched playthrough, but it still hits most of the chapter 3 and 4 plot points, which is when things start to pick up storywise.

Note 2: Further investigation is needed, but the glitch seen all throughout is not necessarily related to the "show location" function, but instead it seems somehow related to holding down the "Tab" key. Even when it's not set to anything in the game's config program, pressing "Tab" still allows the glitchy behavior shown here.

Note 3: The bug has since been fixed with XSeed's localizations, not only from this game, but from SC as well. That said, earlier PC releases are likely to contain the bug, specifically the Japanese ones (though I can't verify this, nor do I intend to in the foreseeable future). Still, I felt this glitch was too interesting not to show off in some form, even if it's no longer possible to do.

Anyway, this is a glitched playthrough of the Steam version of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky FC (First Chapter). Here, I take advantage of a glitch that allows you to bypass certain event flags, the most notable of which being able to pass through some transition points earlier than intended. Said glitch is done by holding down the "Tab" key (despite what I said in the video, one of the comments informed me that the default "show location" button - "Shift" - doesn't activate this glitch; "Tab" seems to be the real culprit, even when it's not assigned any game function). This allows you to pass through certain triggers without activating them. In the case of screen transitions, you still need to actually release the "Tab" key to use them, so any cutscenes that immediately pop up on the next screen can't be skipped via this method.

Contrary to my initial comments in this video, this glitch does not appear to be possible in the PSP version; I do not know whether or not it's possible in the original Japanese PC releases, but it should be doable in the GOG version (since the user that found it was originally playing that - a huge thank you to Steam user "cupcakedrone" for posting the bug report, or else I may not have known about this otherwise).

There is likely a lot more applications of this glitch in the Rolent, Bose, and Ruan regions, but it's too time consuming for me to fully investigate right now. Besides, it's kinda useless when you can skip all the way from the prologue to Zeiss/Grancel.
