About the pond of happiness, as you can see, after throwing rupees in the pond, the pond will tell your luck. The outcome actually does determine your luck. If you get big trouble, it means the next ten slain enemies won't drop any items. If you get great luck, it means the next ten slain enemies will be guaranteed to drop items. The other two outcomes (little luck and good luck) won't have any effect on drop rates.

To defeat Blind, you have to repeatedly slash at him, until his body collapses. After his body collapses, his head will fly around the room shooting fireballs at you. After a while his body recovers with a new head. After slashing him three times again, his body collapses again and the second head will also fly around the room shooting fireballs at you, making the fight even harder. When his body recovers again, slash him three more times and he will be defeated.
