For #GPUJune2 this year, I'm taking a look at a very special card - the 3dfx Voodoo graphics accelerator. Released back in late 1996, it completely transformed the world of PC gaming and was a very significant card for me personally. From the moment I first experienced GLQuake back in 1997, I absolutely had to have one. For this video, I built a test platform almost identical to what I had back in 1997 and have a look at the very popular Diamond Monster 3D! I explore some 3dfx tech demos and play some of my favorite glide games from back in the day as well.

Special thanks to Nathan from @PixelPipes for organizing this great celebration of 3D acceleration history! Be sure to check out the official GPUJune2 playlist for many other great videos from some amazing YouTubers!
