Previously, after delivering the dimethyl sulfoxide to Phineas, the party met Adjutant Sophia Akande in Byzantium and finished the main quest "Long Distance". Sophia issued her next main quest, "Foundation", a ruthless plan to wipe out Edgewater for the "good" of the colony. Rather than doing this, the party went to the Hope for Phineas's main quest "Kept Secret But Not Forgotten". They explored the ship, learned some disturbing facts about the crew's situation, and made it to the bridge. Now, they will skip the Hope to Terra 2 and finish the game's main story.
The Hope:
The party resumes on the bridge on floor 3/3 of the Hope. They operate the forward navigation terminal. First, they check the status and the logs. I fear things ended badly for the Hope's crew.
Then, the party patches ADA in over the communication system. When they are ready, they have her skip the Hope to Terra 2. Note that skipping the hope to Terra 2 is a point of no return in regards to the party's allegiance to Phineas, but there is a more permanent point of no return a little later when they enter the final dungeon. Save wisely!
Skipping the Hope to Terra 2 results in decreased Board reputation. Note that skipping it without ADA's help can lead to a hot and sudden end in Halcyon's primary star if your skills are not high enough. The party chooses to have ADA do it.
A scene takes place. The main quest "Foundation" is botched, I am pleased to say. This concludes the objective to skip the Hope for the main quest "Kept Secret But Not Forgotten". The next objective is to return to Phineas Welles' lab. A rare cinematic takes place as the Hope skips to Terra 2.
The player earns the trophy "Lost and Found" for skipping the Hope.
When the Hope arrives, ADA suggests checking in on Phineas Welles. Fine idea. The party backtracks through the Hope and boards the Unreliable in the docking bay.
Unreliable (time 9:32):
ADA speaks to Davilas as he arrives on the ship. It sounds like Phin is in trouble.
At the Workbench, Davilas upgrades some of his gear. He also chats with his companions in case anyone has anything new to say. He also crams some gear into the storage bin in the captain's cabin.
A scene takes place in the cockpit. This updates "Kept Secret But Not Forgotten". The party had better get to Phineas' Lab as soon as possible.
Davilas uses the navigation terminal to fly the ship to Phineas' Lab - Docking Bay. Upon arrival, he disembarks with Parvati and Vicar Max.
Phineas' Lab (time 15:30):
The party heads into the main lab to find some hostile UDL soldiers present. This updates "Kept Secret But Not Forgotten". The party takes the enemies out. On the window, they find a piece of paper, the "Universal Defense Logistics Official Arrest Receipt".
In Phineas's back room, they search a Cystypig and find Phineas' Terminal Passcode. They operate the personal terminal. With the passcode, they view Phineas' will. They use it to open the secret panel in Phineas' quarters. Then, they view Phineas' personal files. His efforts to revive the Hope's colonists have taken quite a toll on him.
The party goes south to Phineas' quarters. Behind the secret panel along the eastern wall, they find the Tartarus Navkey quest item. This enables them to fly to the Tartarus Docking Facilities on the prison planet of Tartarus. "Kept Secret But Not Forgotten" complete! The final main quest of the main story, "Brave New World", begins. The first objective is to confront Sophia on Tartarus.
The party also obtains a unique weapon, Phin's Phorce, a long gun that deals N-ray damage.
Davilas is promoted to Level 32. He allocates his skill points and levels up. He picks up the perk "Armor Master", which boosts armor rating bonus by 10% and armor skill bonus by 100%. However, this does not impact bonuses from mods.
The party also finds a "Note" along a wall between the windows at the front of Phineas's safe room.
They return to the Unreliable.
