Previously, the party continued exploring and questing in Byzantium. In the HHC Building, they checked Chairman Rockwell's terminal for the main quest "The City and the Stars" and learned that the dimethyl sulfoxide that Phineas needs is in the Ministry of Accuracy and Morale. In the process, they learned disturbing information about the state of the colony. For Minister Clarke's task quest "The Lying Earth", they used Rockwell's terminal to send a message to the Earth Directorate. Then, the party infiltrated the Ministry of Accuracy and Morale. In the Hibernation Lab at the bottom, they recovered the dimethyl sulfoxide. Afterwards, for Lilya Hagen's faction quest "The Chimerist's Last Experiment", they infiltrated Dr. Chartrand's Home, but they refused to kill her. When they returned to the Unreliable, Adjutant Sophia Akande contacted them and issued the main quest "Long Distance" to plant a tracking signal in Phineas' Lab. The party reported to Lilya Hagen, who was not pleased but let the party walk out. Then, the party reported to Phineas in Phineas' Lab and concluded "The City and the Stars". Phineas issued the next main quest, "Kept Secret But Not Forgotten", to bring the Hope to Terra 2. While in his lab, they set up a corrupted tracking signal for "Long Distance". Now, the party will chat with Adjutant Sophia Akande. Then, they will head to the Hope.
Unreliable:
The party resumes aboard the Unreliable. Davilas picks up the Spec Ops perk for Felix, Nyoka, Vicar Max, and SAM. Then, he runs around and chats with his companions. The Book found in Minister Clarke's home is "History of Heresy: The Roots of Philosophism", which appears in Max's quarters. Davilas puts some stuff into the storage bin in the captain's cabin.
When Davilas approaches ADA in the cockpit, a scene takes place. Adjutant Sophia Akande contacts the ship again. This concludes the objective to return to ADA for the main quest "Long Distance". The next objective is to speak to Sophia at her office in the Halcyon Holdings Corporation. The ship can now land at Adjutant Akande's Landing Pad at the building. This reduces Davilas's negative reputation with the Board.
Davilas uses the navigation terminal to fly the ship to Adjutant Akande's Landing Pad on Terra 2. Then, he goes out the main door with Parvati and Vicar Max.
HHC Building (time 9:51):
Adjutant Akande's Landing Pad is on floor 2/3 of the HHC Building. A couple of chests can be found along the eastern side of the landing pad.
The party enters the building. At the security checkpoint, Guard Esparza talks to them for a moment before letting them pass.
When the party reaches the elevator, they ride it up to floor 3/3. They enter the northeastern room and talk to Adjutant Sophia Akande. This concludes the objective to speak to Sophia for "Long Distance". The next objective is to speak to Percival, who will reward the party.
Sophia speaks with the party about the crisis facing Halcyon. She wants the party to enact a plan to wipe out Edgewater by going to the Geothermal Power Plant and issuing a termination protocol to automechanicals in town. Understandably, this upsets Parvati. If the party refuses, Sophia and the guards present will turn hostile. Davilas accepts, but only so he can walk out peacefully. This starts the main quest "Foundation". The first objective is to use the termination protocol in the Geothermal Power Plant.
The party leaves Sophia's office and talks to Percival Platt. "Long Distance" complete! Among the party's rewards are 2,000 bits and increased Board reputation.
The party fast-travels back to the Unreliable.
Unreliable (time 26:09):
Davilas chats with his companions again. Felix is understandably upset about the plan to wipe out Edgewater.
In the cockpit, Davilas uses the navigation terminal to fly the ship to the Hope. This concludes the objective to travel to the Hope for the main quest "Kept Secret But Not Forgotten".
ADA instructs Davilas what to do aboard. This starts the objectives to repower the Hope's skip drive and to patch ADA into the Hope's communications systems.
After the conversation with ADA, Davilas is promoted to Level 31. He allocates his skill points and levels up.
Davilas exits to the Hope's with Parvati and Vicar Max.
