I’ve been playing Elden Ring, released in February 2022 on PlayStation Xbox and PC, pretty much non-stop since its release, and From Software's latest game is a brilliant open world title in so many ways

Elden Ring continues to build on the incredible foundations From Software first laid with Demon’s Souls back in 2009, and Elden Ring is by far the bravest iteration on the Soulsborne series’ formula so far.

However, I can’t help but feel like opinion has swung way too far towards the positive end of the spectrum when it comes to certain aspects of the Elden Ring - specifically, it's side quests.

And that's what I want to look at in more detail during this video, talking about Elden Ring's NPCs, open world and bosses, while also comparing it to previous titles including Demon's Souls and The Witcher 3.
