The Real Reason Reva is THE WORST | Star Wars Explained
1,100How did Reva know that Darth Vader was Anakin Skywalker? And what is her significance in this story? I think for many fans, that first question has been creating a lot of problems initially, but I’m here today because I think there is a really satisfying answer. There’s a theory I’ve seen floating around that really resolves all of this, and I’m here today to present that evidence and show you the truth behind Reva’s story, and how it makes sense of these burning questions we all have. I will also be using this to address the lingering fears and/or predictions that Reva will somehow become the hero of this story. Spoiler alert, I think that theory is baseless and just silly. But we’ll talk in more detail about that later.
The theory is relatively simple, but it ties Reva to the opening scene of kenobi; the one that shows the younglings who were training when the 501st stormed the Jedi Temple. When the show first premiered, I thought we would be returning to this flashback often, much in the same way the Mandalorian’s flashbacks continued expanding in Season 1. The flashbacks continued until we had the full story. Right now, this singular flashback has almost no relevance to the show. It’s just another angle of Order 66. Of course we fans love seeing Order 66 from new angles! Fallen Order, Bad Batch, Mandalorian season 2… this stuff is like candy to us, so nobody complained.
