The Sad State of Animal Crossing: New Horizons
14Ok so, a Nintendo Direct happened and in the direct, we were told that there would be an Animal Crossing: New Horizons direct releasing sometime in October. Now this made people extremely happy as New Horizons hasn’t received a big update in around 6 months but something about this update just doesn’t sit right with me, so in this video I wanna talk about why that is.
Now I’m happy that the roost is coming to new horizons. In case you somehow don’t know, the Roost was a coffee shop in Animal Crossing: New Leaf that was loved by players and so when New Horizons was released and the Roost was nowhere to be found, people were a bit confused.
As I said earlier I am happy that the Roost is coming to New Horizons as New Horizons is clearly lacking content when compared to other Animal Crossing games.
What annoys me is that the Roost should’ve been in Animal Crossing: New Horizons from day one, it shouldn’t be coming to the game a year and a half later. If it makes you happy that the roost is coming to new horizons, that’s great, I’m happy that you’re happy.
But it just annoys me that everyone is praising Nintendo for teasing that the roost is coming to new horizons when it should’ve been in the game from the 20th of March in 2020. I don’t understand why no one else is annoyed that the roost isn’t already in New Horizons, when it was in Animal: New Leaf from day one.
We should be getting brand new shops and features in updates for New Horizons, not a coffee shop from 2012. I know that New Horizons is lacking content and so people are happy that we’re getting new content, but it just surprises me that more people aren’t annoyed that the Roost is coming to New Horizons this late.
The reason why I titled the video, ‘the sad state of Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ is because I do think that it is sad that the fanbase is getting this excited over updates that should already be in the game and that we should instead be getting brand new updates.
Like it wouldn’t surprise me if next year in January , that the next update for New Horizons is revealed and it’s just an upgrade to Nook’s Cranny and even though there should already be multiple upgrades to Nook’s Cranny, people would still go crazy.
