I got the IJN Katori from the Tides of March mission event by WG. I have heard many things about this ship being its a weak tier 3 cruiser to a strong killer because of the gunnery. And I believe in the later more that the first item based on my game play.

I played the ship as more as a secondary support ship. With that being said I focus on opportunities of shooting. However one thing I found out is that ship is slow in speed and rudder shift. However again the torpedoes and gunnery IMO are strong enough to even take out a St. Louis.

And yes I made a mistake with the final torp shot. I was focus on the enemy BB and did not see the ice shelf in the aim. I did not get a second chance to kill the enemy BB. It was a shame the G-101 DD did not support me more during the final attack.

However despite this match I plan to play the Katori cruiser more in matches. I do like the ship and think its not bad as a free ship.
