the other one. no it's not based on the movie either!

The Simpsons Game came out around the same time as the movie. Well, at least as I remember it did. The game was a late PS2 and early PS3 release and I think it kinda went under the radar a little. But the game (at least in premise only) is great. The idea of an action platformer with each Simpson family member having different abilities requiring swapping between playable characters to complete puzzles is great! Wrapped up in a very well done cell shaded style graphics engine with full voice acting and high def (on PS3 at least) widescreen animated cutscenes that look just as good as the movie (or TV show)

The issues I have with the game (mainly framerate and camera) may only be a problem with the PS2 version. Perhaps the 360 and PS3 versions run better? They also have more content with a 3D Springfield map of sorts that acts like a hub between levels. Here on the PS2 version you just kinda pop into the next level without any rhyme or reason as to how you got there. While I haven't seen this hub world, it sounds like it would be a better presentation overall. This alone could make the PS3 and 360 versions worth playing over the PS2 version even if the framerate or camera issues aren't improved. Just knowing this makes me want to hold off and continue to search for the PS3 version.

Video recorded from Composite video and possibly at 240p (instead of 480i) not sure but keep that in mind the video is only going to look so good here.
