Thimbleweed Park is a LucasArts Point & Click Throwback
Thimbleweed Park was a crowdfunded game that was released in 2017 for PC and many platforms including XBOX One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The game is a total throwback to early 90's PC adventure games. Specifically the ones developed by LucasArts. Think Maniac Mansion. That's no coincidence either as the main developers of this game were the creators of Maniac Mansion!
Needless to say if you're a fan of Maniac Mansion this is a game you should check out. I got my copy on a Steam sale for like $6. I really like the way the story is told across multiple playable characters. The voice acting is decent and the graphics for the most part are quite good. I'd actually say when they're good, they're really good. Almost look like paintings at times with though put into mood and lighting. Obviously they're low res. The entire game tries to emulate the look of an old DOS game. Even the text (with the option turned on) looks like the text from Monkey Island!
Note on the video: I had already played through most of the game when I decided I wanted to make a quick little video on it. I hadn't been recording any video footage of my gameplay but was taking screen shots periodically. The video sequences seen here where taken from the official trailer and a walkthrough video made by "Lord Dem" while the stills seen are from my own actual playthrough.
If you're looking for a full walkthrough check out Lord Dem's video here.
