In this episode of Skul the Hero Slayer, I'll be testing out the Spartan after his recent 1.9 buffs! In the latest patch Spartan was given some pretty serious upgrades, at least on paper. Damage increases across the board as well as more time to correctly proc a perfect parry, which in my opinion is the real winner in these changes. For me, I never really considered Spartan in need of any buffs to his damage, even though his damage wasn't great, because I consider him to be outside of that realm. He is well and truly a support skull, and in that sense he shines like no other. His ability to generate i-frames on demand is practically unparalleled, and in skilled hands could still generate decent damage output. In terms of build archetypes, he really never had that much going for him, but was a decent user of Ability Spam Items, which is one of the more prominent and powerful archetypes. On this build however, I'm really stress testing his damage buffs above anything else, cause that's the thing I'm most interested in. This is a raw damage% focused run to really see if the new gloves they gave our boy make him shine as maybe a little more than just a support character now. Joined by Hunter, can this duo who normally rely on items to shine show the world that they can hit as hard as any Minotaur or Samurai with their simple big punches?
