The Sully Chronicles is a living RPG, originally created by Brian "Hahn" Peterson as a demonstration of the VERGE game engine.

If I recall correctly, VERGE stands for "Vecna's Extra-ordinary Role-playing Game Engine.

If you were a member of the VERGE community, you probably played through The Sully Chronicles many times, as it was continually updated with new additions to demonstrate new engine features as they were developed.

This is the oldest version I could find, downloadable here:

This isn't the very first version. You'll notice that the dialog often makes reference to things that have been updated in this version. In this version, much of the menu options are non-functional. Most notably absent is a battle system, but somehow over all of its active years, VERGE never had one of those built in.

To run on DOSBox without crashing, you will need to replace CWSDPMI.EXE with a newer version. I used version 0.90 (r7) here.
