The job of a tournament director of the FIDE Chess Olympiad is extremely complex. A lot of decisions have to be made every hour and each decision can have quite a lot of serious repercussions. The tournament director for the 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad to be held in Chennai is Bharat Singh Chauhan. He is also the secretary of All India Chess Federation.
