"The Final Tragedy must be prevented."

Here's my take on a Deltarune secret boss for the actual game! Meet the Humble Servant, whose story follows the progression of the relation of the secret bosses to "freedom".

The Humble Servant is a Darkner, one of two people working on the "Deltarune" project with Gaster (who they call the DIRECTOR), and their Lightner partner is encountered on the main route. You gain control of the Vessel for parts of the chapter, and this is when you can encounter Humble Servant (who is the one who discarded the Vessel initially, in an attempt to subvert the prophecy).

The Humble Servant does not desire freedom in the slightest - questioning their devotion to "Deltarune" would be like questioning the existence of Light and Dark. Despite this, the Roaring Knight insisted on giving them a Shadow Crystal (to the point of basically shoving it in their face), but they rejected it, ultimately sending it off to Gaster for experimentation, hence why there are only five Shadow Crystals to collect.

Note that they are a "servant" of the cause behind the Deltarune project - NOT Gaster himself, hence why they went against Gaster during the game's beginning.
