The Walking Dead Saints And Sinners Gameplay | The Walking Dead VR Impressions
The Walking Dead: Saints And Sinners is a Walking Dead VR game, which means lots of zombies getting up in your face and you miming an axe swing at their heads. We take a trip through New Orleans in this new Walking Dead Saints And Sinners gameplay, and offer some impressions along the way.
Walking Dead: Saints And Sinners is out on 23 January, so this footage gives a good idea of what to expect: a series of small sandbox-y levels where you can scavenge or take on side quests, trying to make the most of daylight hours before returning to your bus to craft items and get much needed rest. We didn’t see enough to offer a full The Walking Dead Saints And Sinners review, but we enjoyed what we played: it’s a really physical control scheme that lets you thunk screwdrivers into skulls and then use your spare hand to push the skull off your weapon. Eeew.
Walking Dead VR gives you some freedom in how you approach tasks, whether finding a sneaky route around the world, or working with NPCs in side quests. Compared to previous The Walking Dead game (not the Telltale one, but the terrible FPS), it’s a more engaging experience, that captures both the quiet unease of the show and the moments of frantic danger. Hopefully these Walking Dead Saints and Sinners impressions give you a good idea of what to expect from the game - we’ve even included a bit of the developers playing to show what advanced zombie bashing looks like.
