Fortress Of Doom And 15 Best DOOM Eternal Features | Doom Eternal Gameplay
We’ve played three hours of Doom Eternal gameplay, and will talk you through everything we saw. From slow motion Chrono Strikes to giant Norse temples to evil snake demons to mind-controlled enemies - yes, you can step into a monster’s shoes. All this and more as we look at the 15 best Doom Eternal features, all with Doom Eternal PC gameplay. Enjoy!
We were already impressed with Doom Eternal new features at E3 last year, but playing the game from the start reveals a whole lot more. The Doom Slayer has his own house, the Fortress of Doom, complete with monster prison for violent training. You can’t write a Doom Eternal review based on the first three hours, but it’s hard not to be impressed by your own private dungeon, not to mention all the mystery doors waiting to be opened by collecting batteries in the levels below. That’s not all you’ll be collecting: there are toys of famous monsters, cheat codes, new runes, weapon points, hidden battles, slayer gates… It's a big game. Needless to say, I think several people on the team might want to tackle this come Doom Eternal review time. Let’s hope it doesn’t get as messy as Doom’s battles.
In these Doom Eternal impressions we also look at new enemy weak points, your new moves and the game’s focus on puzzle platforming. You need surprisingly dexterous fingers to find every secret hidden in this vast world, from dahsing over lava fields to discovering secret climbing walls hidden under the levels. One of my favourite Doom Eternal features is that you can fast travel through the levels, which is good news for completionists who missed the odd pick-up. Oh, and using plasma rifle to shoot energy shields is much appreciated. With the right weapon, you can tackle anything the game throws at you. Of course, there are a lot of Doom Eternal enemies to learn, so it won’t be that easy. This Doom Eternal preview introduces a few new faces, but there are more to come.
For more on Doom Eternal demo you can keep an eye on Rock Paper Shotgun: The Site. I hope this Doom Eternal preview video takes you beyond the simple Doom Eternal trailers you’ve seen so far. Sorry for relying so much on the sticky bombs - this is what happens when we are left to take our own Doom Eternal gameplay. You can learn the basics of the game from our earlier look at the E3 demo, which is here: https://youtu.be/bWGcvxM6XmY
I hope you enjoy this video of Doom Eternal impressions. If you watch it and have any questions about what we played, pop them in the comments.
