THE WORLD SERPENT | God Of War Playthrough - Part 4
4Hey everybody! Welcome back to my God Of War playthrough, Kratos finds some tracks and wants Atreus to track the animal while we are on our way up the mountain to keep his skills sharp. It doesn't take too long until we come across the boar but when we shoot it the arrow bounces off of it like nothing and Atreus figures it is protected by a spell. We chase after it and eventually come across it again and this time our arrows breaks through and Atreus excitedly chases after it dropping his knife and Kratos is not happy about it. We try to catch up to him but find myself in the middle of a thick fog in a maze. I follow Atreus' voice the best I can and eventually break through the other side where I find him with an upset woman who claims the boar is her friend and the last of it's kind. I try to help while she reveals she is a witch as she starts using magic to try and heal the boar. Unfortunately she cannot do much here and asks me to carry the boar to her house and even though Kratos does not look like he wants to Atreus gives him a look he cannot refuse. We gather plants around the house to help with the spell and give back Atreus' knife and he is very upset he lost it. With the boar healed Kratos is ready to walk out but the witch gives us a mark to hide us from the gods and shows us an underground path out of the forest. Once we leave we jump into a boat and start rowing our way out of the tunnel. Eventually we find ourselves back outside and find a statue sticking out of the water that says to throw your weapons in the water. Kratos has an ax that returns when called so he throws it but it does not come back. Suddenly things start to shake and the world serpent comes up out of the water and it is awesome! He tries to speak but we have no clue what it is saying. With it out of the water the level dropped a lot and we are able to look around. Some how Brok has already set up shop a few minutes after we lower the water level and a lot of other paths open up so it is time to start some side quests!
His vengeance against the gods of Olympus far behind him, Kratos now lives as a man in the lands of Norse Gods and monsters. It is in this harsh, unforgiving world that he must fight to survive… and teach his son to do the same. As mentor and protector to a son determined to earn his respect, Kratos is faced with an unexpected opportunity to master the rage that has long defined him. Questioning the dark lineage he’s passed on to his son, he hopes to make amends for the shortcomings of his past. Set within the untamed forests, mountains, and realms of Norse lore, God of War features a distinctly new setting with its own pantheon of creatures, monsters, and gods.
