WINTER IS HERE | The Last Of Us Remastered Playthrough - Part 23
4Hey everybody! Welcome back to my The Last Of Us Remastered playthrough, we made it through the university to the science building but there doesn't seem to be a firefly in site. We try to look through but find nothing but some helpful supplies. The further we get in the we start hearing noises. Hopeful that it is a firefly and not some infected we press on. Unfortunately it turned out to be neither as we eventually find several monkeys playing around in one of the rooms. At the end of the line we come across a skeleton and a voice recorder. By listening to it we learn the firefly's are gone to Salt Lake City. Joel is frustrated but doesn't have time to think about the situation as we get shot at from outside. It seems some hunters found up and are trying to take us out. Like always we fight our way through fairly easily but this time a hunter burst through a door knocking Joel off the side of the railing and onto some rebar down below. Ellie steps in the save the day but Joel is hurt pretty badly. We slowly move towards outside but Joel is really in rough shape. Once the last few are taken care of thanks to Ellie we get on the horse and ride. Once we are far enough away Joel falls off the horse and appears to be unconscious and Ellie is visibly upset. We then flash forward and winter is here and we get to take control of Ellie as she is trying to hunt for food. Her tracking of a deer leads us to some old mill and a couple of strangers. Ellie does't trust them and neither do I but they offer some antibiotics in exchange for the deer and Ellie jumps all over the deal presumably to help Joel. The one guy goes to get them while we wait but of course nothing can be easy as a clicker storms into the building and even though we kill it several more are on their way!
The Last of Us is a genre-defining experience blending survival and action elements to tell a character driven story about a population decimated by a modern plague. 20 years after a pandemic has radically changed known civilization, cities are abandoned and being reclaimed by nature, infected humans run wild and survivors are killing each other for food, weapons; whatever they can get their hands on. Joel, a violent survivor, is hired to smuggle a 14 year-old girl, Ellie, out of an oppressive military quarantine zone, but what starts as a small job soon transforms into a brutal journey across the U.S.
