Originally released in a good ol' days, the year of our lord 2016. it's easy to assume that drunkn bar fight would be one of those earlier VR titles with janky physics and weird photo scan graphics, and you'd be right. Problem is Drunkn Bar Fight is listed as early access which can be taken 2 ways.
1. It's still in beta
2. They're still developing it near 6 years later and it still looks and feels like a Tony Hawk pro skater VR mini game where I get to shoot bottle rockets at a wedding party.
There's no story to speak of here.. you just enter a bar, toss a few back and... toss a few around, at everyone...... EVERYONE! You have to hit and knock out everyone or you can't finish the round.
Attack one bar patrion and before you're done whoopin up on them, someone else has come to their aid in an attempt to take you down and stop your raine of terror. On a good run it doesn't feel dissimilar from that video where that guy slaps everyone..... everyone!
But on a bad run it feels kind of like getting getting punched in the head by Ivan Draco... don't miss, don't let up... you get hit once and you're down for the count, you'll have to pick yourself back up... literally to get back into the fight.
If you want to just get in there and start throwing hands you can, but take a look around and you'll find such handy tools as... mace, tip jar, guitar, a leaky propane tank and... oh look a lit candle.
Of course there are beer bottles and assorted adult beverages EVERYWHERE. Have yourself one. Or nine! The more you drink the... well nothing seems to happen at all... besides your vision getting blurry but you don't need to see straight when you got a lead pipe.
Weather you're sitting around having a drink, or throwing a jar of bees at santa, the bar patrions always have something to say.

The controls are minimal.. swing your hands, or rotate them around like you're doing a speed bag, most of your shots will land some of the time. Unless you're using a golf club... then it only seems to work half the time.... throwing stuff seems pretty accurate I guess.... I wish I could burn this guy with this cigarette... ya know, I think im starting to feel the immersion.
After my initial play though, I didn't find myself dying to get back in, or even make a video about it. I kind of just wanna uninstall it and immerse my eye balls in mineral spirits.
Multiplayer is available but I couldn't find anyway willing to play.
You can unlock new weapons and characters but I have no idea why you would want to, as far as I can tell there's no difference between them.
There are 7 different settings in which to lay the smack down, some have unique weapons to try, I think this is a jar of pee.... and you can throw people off this balcony too. If you're into that kind of thing.
Drunkn Bar Fight is being developed by The Munky and is available on steam for $13.99. the oculus and playstation store for $16.99. is even available as a disc on amazon for... $24.19....
So if you like goin down to the local pub, getting hammered and throwing hands, or if you're a prepubescent teenage who thinks this kind of crap is funny... than maybe Drunkn Bar Fight is the game for you.
