Full longplay, playthrough, walkthrough & trueplay of the whole first park in the PS2 version of Theme Park World or Theme Park Roller Coaster if you live in North America. The follow up to the original Theme Park, largely sticks to the format of it's predecessor, the big change being the jump to 3D and the removal of stock and some financial elements. The tone of the game was also made more cartoon like and many fans of the original felt the game dumbed down.

Still a good game and improves over the first in a number of ways, however, it wasn't the great game the original was. This PlayStation 2 release game out in late 2000 and is a mix of elements from the PC and PS1 version. It also uses a new graphics engine making it better looking than the PC release. It also contains all the rides from the PC version, which includes download and golden tickets rides. While using the Park, format of the PS1 release, which took the four park themes for the PC version and splits their content over two parks for that theme. Giving it eight different parks in total, each with different rides and objectives. The PS2 version doesn't including the exclusive rides that were made for the PS1 release and the menu aren't as nice as the PS1 to navigate and use either. Both console ports have had some of the more advance PC menu options removed.

This versions also limits the numbers of rides, shops, sideshows and features you can build in each park, just as the PS1 version, this is to prevent the game crashing like the original Theme Park and to reduce the hit to the frame rate a large park would cause. The frame rate does still suffer when zoomed out after building a large number of rides.

One of the big changes is the 3D camera view, unlikely the rather rough 3D mode in the PS1 version of Theme Park. You can walk around your park, ride the rides and play mini-games. While rubbing shoulders with staff and customers. This time around the mode works really well and there is a sense of achievement as you slowly build up your park making it bigger and better. Track and roller coasters rides can now be more dynamically built, giving you a lot more freedom with their design. Theme Park World's biggest problem was the fact it released after RollerCoaster Tycoon on PC and while the game may have been in 3D. It was outclassed by RollerCoaster Tycoon in just about every way.

In many ways the PS2 version of Theme Park World improves over the PC release. It's more objective based, has better structured objectives and the improved 3D graphics for the humans in the park, enhancing the 3D camera view. While many would disagree, we would suggest this is the best version of the game to own.
